Move not your tongue concerning the Quran so that you learn it hastely.
It is for Us to collect it and the reciting thereof.
So when We recite it, follow the reciting accordingly.
Then on Us is the explaining of it clearly. (Q.75:16-19)

Quran Reciters website is also kindly dedicated to the following bothers:

We would like to pay our sincere gratitude to Br. Abdullah Abu-Bakr of Qura al-Quran. It was Abu Bakr who first started a forum in Arabic and English to share rare recitations of the Holy Quran. Qura al-Quran is still one of the best source to get access to rare recitations of the Quran reciters of the past. We pray to Allah Almighty that he bestows his mercy and blessings on Br. Abu-Bakr and grant him happiness in this life and in the Hereafter. Aameen

We would also like to thank all the users of the Qura al-Quran forum for sharing their unique collections of the recitations of the Holy Quran. In particular, we would like to pay our sincere thanks to the following brothers: Ahmad Rifai, Ahmad Hijazi, Khalid Kholi, Abu Yusuf al-Sanhaji. Most of the recitations in our ‘Mustafa Ismael Collection’ have been provided by these brothers.

It is no exaggeration to admit that Quran Reciters would not have come into existence if the users of the Qura al-Quran had not shared their collection of the recitations with open heart. May Allah Almighty bless all the users of the Qura al-Quran and grant them peace in this life and in the Hereafter. Aameen

Finally, we would like to thank all the brothers we have come in contact with in relation to Quranic recitations. In particular, big thanks to Ensar, Adam and Bedir for providing us with rare videos of Shaykh Mustafa Ismael and Dr. Ahmad Nuina; a large collection of Shaykh Mustafa Ismael’s recitations; and audios & videos of maqamat lessons; Qari Anwaar-ul-Hasan of Pakistan for answering our Quranic tajweed questions; and finally, Qari Ishaq sahib for putting a smile on our faces.

We pray to Allah Almighty that He increases our love for each other, enables us to look after one and another.

It is a common saying that one should teach their children to love the Holy Prophet, Prophet’s family and to love the Holy Quran. We also pray to Allah the exalted that He multiples our love for the Holy Prophet, Prophet’s family and the Holy Quran; and makes our beloved Holy Prophet and the Holy Quran as a source of intercession in our graves and on the Day of Judgement. Aameen

Shaykh Mustafa Ismael

Shaykh Mustafa Ismael is one of the greatest Quran reciters of the 20 th century. When it comes to reciting the Holy Quran, none can do it better than Shaykh Mustafa Ismael.

His style is unique, fulfilling and uplifting. No other Quran reciter has the ability to read the Holy Quran like Shaykh Mustafa Ismael. Each individual Quran reciter has his own qualities and abilities and they all recite the Holy Quran with the fear of Allah and with correct tajweed rules. However, Shaykh Mustafa Ismael excelled in his ability to recite a surah in different styles and modes on every different occasion, coupled with his ability to fully control his breadth and voice.

Perhaps, his ability to recite a surah or a verse in different styles is the most appropriate indicator of his greatness. No other qari has this ability. As an example, if you listen to surah Takwir, (s.81) of Shaykh Abdul Basit, you would find that he recites this surah with the same style each time. In contrast, if you listen to surah Haqqah (s.69) of Shaykh Mustafa Ismael, he would recite it differently each time. By reading a surah or a verse with different styles, it helps the listener to keep engaged with the recitation and not feel bored with it.

Shaykh Mustafa Ismael’s voice is so melodious and full of tranquillity. It fills the listener’s heart with the love of the Holy Quran, and the listener feels so much satisfaction and comfort.
