Al-Azhar Masjid

Some pictures & videos of Al-Azhar Masjid, Cairo Egypt. Taken in 2006. Click on the image to enlarge.

Often, after the Jummah Prayer (Friday Prayer) some sort of protest takes place at Al-Azhar Masjid. This is why there is so much police & security presence outside the Al-Azhar Mosque. You will be checked by the security and your bags and books flipped through to ensure you do not take any literature, leaflets or banners inside the Mosque. But protesters still manage to do so, as seen in the following video.
