I doubt that you can have very clear audio from forties and fifties. The only thing you can do is take existing audio files and try to get rid of the noise yourself with audio software.

Hi,,would be very grateful if anyone especially members of the great Shaikh M Ismail,,, have his very early recitations in the forties and early fifties in clear and audible state.I would do anything and or even pay for those old early records.Anyone who may have those records , please contact me and i will be forever grateful, may god bless the late shaikh and his family.Dr M Monem.

Hi,
thank you very much for this article. You have copied every single word of it from: Kristina Nelson’s “The art of reciting the Qur’an”. One of a few anglophone publications that deal with tajwid. Highly recommandable for non-arab speaking muslims that show interest in tajwid, though it’s not a handbook for recitation.
If you only would have added a few sound example one could easily get a picture of the Qur’an recitations of Egypt in the 20th century.
